The tradeoff is that beach access requires a car or the bus, but the town’s evening atmosphere, proximity to the Lion of Kea, and the Archaeological Museum are genuine advantages that coastal accommodation cannot match.

The Otzias area offers a small selection of studios and rooms with direct beach access — a good-value option for families who want a quieter setting away from the port. The public bus serves Otzias in summer, and the tavernas on the beach are a short walk away.
