Xyla Beach

Xyla is an organized beach with crystal water about 4 km south of Korissia, reached by a mostly dirt road. Close enough to the port to visit without a long drive, far enough to feel like an escape from the ferry crowds.

The Beach

Xyla is on the western coast, not far from Platia Ammos — the first beach you pass on the road from Korissia heading south. The water is clear and the beach is organized in season. The dirt-road approach keeps visitor numbers lower than beaches with easy paved access, giving Xyla a slightly wilder feel despite being one of the closer beaches to the port.

Getting There

Around 4 km south of Korissia. The biggest part of the route is a dirt road — passable in a standard vehicle but worth driving with care. No regular bus service; a car or taxi from Korissia is the practical option.
