Agios Filippos Beach

Agios Filippos is one of Kea’s most remote accessible beaches: thin pebbles, sand and exceptional water, reachable only by boat or along the Seirios footpath. For travelers willing to make the effort, it is one of the most tranquil spots on the island.

The Beach

Agios Filippos has thin pebbles, sand and crystal water. There are no facilities — no sunbeds, no taverna, no fresh water. The beach’s isolation is entirely a function of its access: the only ways in are by boat or along the Seirios walking route (Route 8, approximately 4.3 km from Ellinika, passing Agios Symeon). This keeps numbers very low even in August. Bring everything you need for the day, including water.

Getting There

By path: Route Seirios (Route 8) runs from Ellinika to Agios Filippos via Agios Symeon — approximately 4.3 km. Check current path conditions before setting out, particularly on remote or less-walked routes. By boat: check with local operators in Korissia or Vourkari for current seasonal boat services to eastern coves.
